AIS - The Facility

The official opening of the new AFNORTH International School buildings took place on 8 October 1993.

The facility has over 100 classrooms, an extensive media center with on-line catalog and Internet connections,

an industrial arts workshop, well equipped laboratories, and three sports halls with a huge sports field.
A computer science and business education center has links to other institutes and schools for "long distance learning" capability.


Four additional computer labs provide ample opportunity for students to meet the latest and best standards in technology education.
AFNORTH International School has a fully operational cafeteria and offers a hot menu and an a la carte line.
The food service is conducted by AAFES. Students starting at International 5 (8/9 year olds) come to the cafeteria for lunch; the younger students eat in their classrooms.
