Home / School Life / Comenius Programme (Erasmus+)

The Comenius programme is a European Union educational project which ended in 2013 respectively merged into the Erasmus+ project of the European Union. The Comenius programme concerns school-level education, and was part of the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme 2007–2013. It aimed “to help young people and educational staff better understand the range of European cultures, languages and values”.

Its name derives from the 17th-century Czech educator John Amos Comenius.

Our school was part of one of the last comenius projects: “Colourful Rays of Rays of Sun over a Globalized World”

In future these kind of projects will fall under the Erasmus+ programme. The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work.
